Simon Lafrance, Managing Partner at STRATEGEUM, was in Marrakech, Morocco, this week for the COP22, with clients of the firm, therefore facilitating many business opportunities for them. He also took this opportunity to further develop STRATEGEUM‘s international network of relations and partners, particularly in the sustainable development and energy sectors.
Simon Lafrance, Managing Partner at STRATEGEUM, was participating this week in the annual World Conference of the International Association of Political Consultants, in Denver, Colorado. He was simultaneously completing his first year as Director of the association, the worldwide Board holding as usual many meetings in person on the occasion. Finally, he was speaking on the panel Moving Target: The Changing Dynamic of the Global Electorate.

Simon Lafrance, Managing Partner at STRATEGEUM, was riding a bicycle this weekend for the Juritour, a cycling tour imagined and managed by Claude Provencher, Senior Advisor and Executive Coach at the firm, in order to raise funds to fight cystic fibrosis, a disease affecting his daughter Cloe. It is for her that STRATEGEUM became partner in the event, realizing her dream to meet Youppi by inviting him to come encourage the participants.
Oh, yes, the Juritour also raised nearly 120 000 $ ! (French only.)
This weekend Montreal was host to the 5th Replenishment Conference of the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria. On this occasion many Heads of States, including from Africa, United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon as well as personalities from the global business community such as Melinda and Bill Gates and many artists were mobilized to raise funding. It is with pleasure that STRATEGEUM took part in the event at the invitation of the Global Fund’s team in addition to coordinating with them, ministerial offices, partners and clients to organize complement activities to the main program.

In collaboration with Sama Resources, McCarthy Tetrault and the Canadian Council on Africa, STRATEGEUM was hosting, this morning, a private breakfast with the Prime Minister of Guinea, His Excellency Mister Mamady Youla. Attending were an official delegation from Guinea as well as Madam Christine St-Pierre, Quebec’s Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie. This meeting aimed at allowing Canadian businesses, including clients of STRATEGEUM, to present their expertise relating to Guinea’s needs.
