STRATEGEUM is proud to be associated with the very first edition of the Champlain Charity Cup, a hockey tournament organized by the graduating students of the Sports Marketing and Management program at Champlain College. All proceeds from the event will go to the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation.

Philippe Brisson, Managing Partner at STRATEGEUM, was participating tonight in an activity organized by the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Saint-Laurent and Mont-Royal, with Minister Pierre Arcand (center), on Quebec’s government’s Plan Nord. Philippe (completely on the right) had been invited by Jerome Lankoande (at the left of the minister), president of the organization.

Philippe Brisson, Managing Partner at STRATEGEUM, is participating in the International Symposium on Northern Development organized by the Quebec government this week to echo its Plan Nord. He will therefore have exchanges with other academic specialists and economic actors gravitating around this major project.

Though we were not involved in this year’s electoral cycle, the STRATEGEUM team salutes the elected officials of the outgoing National Constituents Assembly and its President, Dr. Mustapha Ben Jaafar, who, while carrying out the transition from the streets to the institutions, gave birth to a new, democratic, Tunisia. They will forever be the, sometimes unsung, heros who wrote History.

Philippe Brisson, Managing Partner at STRATEGEUM, is participating in the Quebec Mines convention this week in Quebec City, where he is discussing with private and public stakeholders from the mining sector in Canada and internationally. Harry Glodjinon, STRATEGEUM Advisor for Paris and Western Africa, is just back from a busy mission he contributed in organizing and during which he accompanied rapper Akon (see picture) in Western Africa for his initiative Akon Lighting Africa, which aims at providing electricity to rural villages. Harry was particularly proud of the successful meeting with President Boni Yayi of Benin (see picture), his homeland.

Simon Lafrance, Managing Partner at STRATEGEUM, is in the American capital this week as a guest of the Global Leadership Program hosted by Give1Project, an organization founded by Thione Niang, a fundraiser for President Obama’s reelection campaign, and which connects tomorrow’s leaders from around the world. Simon will represent the Quebec-Americas Agency for Youth, of which he is Chairman of the Board, and will be on a panel at the National Endowment for Democracy.

Simon Lafrance, Managing Partner at STRATEGEUM, took part, these last days, in a 60 kilometers walk in 48 hours during the Weekend to End Women’s Cancers, benefitting the Jewish General Hospital Segal Cancer Centre. This challenge followed a fundraising blitz within Fasken Martineau law firm’s team, which raised more than $65 000 for the cause this year.
