Annie Mutamba is an EU public affairs consultant, who specializes in Europe-Africa relations. She advises businesses and organisations and represents their interests within European and international institutions. She started her career in Washington D.C. at the Africa Policy Information Center (now Africa Action), the oldest organisation in the United States dedicated to African affairs. She then managed, for ten years, large-scale advocacy and communication programs within the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic), which represents 27,000 companies across Europe. Advisor to this sector’s large multinationals as well as SME, her role was to develop and implement advocacy strategies influencing European policies in innovation, health and environment. She was also in charge of coordinating communication with the WHO, the UNEP and the OECD.

Annie Mutamba holds two master’s degrees, in communication and in international relations, from the University of Liege in Belgium and the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom, and she now lectures within the Executive Master in Communication and European Policies at the IHECS in Brussels. She is a regular guest of international commissions on influence communication and lobbying.
