Kelechi Iroanya specializes in business development and relations, a natural talent he has shaped into an expertise through his studies and his work in business leadership positions, in Canada and Nigeria. His passion is translating strategies successfully, into actual field execution. After having worked in the Nigerian banking as well as oil and gas sectors (including at Oando PLC, Africa’s largest indigenous petroleum/energy company), he became head of the relationship management unit (RMU) at Stanbic IBTC Pensions, Africa’s largest pension fund manager and a subsidiary of the Standard Bank Group (Africa’s largest bank by asset size and revenues). Under his stewardship, Stanbic IBTC’s RMU team successfully delivered annually an average of 821 million dollars in new pension contributions, approximately 60% above the industry average.
Kelechi Iroanya has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Lagos State University in Nigeria and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business, in Canada. He balances his consulting work with a strong community involvement, in Lagos (where he co-founded the Link Centre to coach young people preparing for higher studies) and Montreal (where he volunteers at Arms of Agape, an open soup kitchen helping the homeless).
