Fanny Magini / Principal Advisor – Barcelona / Research, Innovation and Public Sector

Fanny Magini has expertise in sectors as varied as research and innovation, scientific diplomacy, municipal administration, public policy and government relations. During the course of the past two decades, she has successively been Executive Director of the National Graduate Studies Council and then Special Projects Manager in the office of the Chief Scientist and the Research Funds, in Quebec. She recently completed a term as an elected official within the City of Montreal, where her responsibilities included support for businesses, culture, economic and urban development, housing, as well as the ecological transition. She therefore offers extensive experience in the social acceptability of projects.

Fanny Magini holds a specialized graduate degree in diplomacy and strategic negotiations from Paris-Sud University, a master’s degree in sociology from Sorbonne Nouvelle University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Montreal. She is fluent in French, English and Spanish, in addition to having a basic knowledge of Catalan. She now lives in Barcelona, from where she remains very connected to Canada and the rest of Europe.
